Over the years we have regularly smoked our own food using various units including our Victorian oven however we had to stop this as the pub was starting to smell like a Kipper so various BBQ’s were adapted. For many years I had a cunning plan to combine two of our redundant ex army circa 1953 field kitchens into a Smoke Tower.
Finally in mid July 2016 I finally completed this vision and we now have a wonderful 6ft 7in tall smoke tower affectionately called ‘Edward’
Using a selection of local Cherry, Ash, Chestnut, Blackthorn and Hornbeam to smoke our food we now have a regular menu of home smoked Fish & Meat and offer a flavour that is truly local.
